Privacy policy
What information Clock it with SCI collects, why we need it, and what you can do about it. We have kept it short and in plain English.
Last updated: October 2026
The short version
- You can use every page on the site without an account.
- If you make an account, we keep your email, your name and your revision progress so you can pick up where you left off.
- We only turn on analytics if you click Accept on the cookie banner.
- We do not show adverts and we never sell your data.
- You can ask us to show you, correct or delete your data at any time.
Who we are
Clock it with SCI is a free GCSE and IGCSE Biology revision site for students, parents and teachers. We also offer biology tutoring online and in person in Dubai, UAE. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean Clock it with SCI.
If you make an account
Accounts are optional. You can sign in with Google or with a link sent to your email. Accounts are run by Supabase, and the data is stored on servers in the EU (Frankfurt, Germany).
We store:
- your email address;
- your name, if you sign in with Google;
- if you choose to tell us: whether you are a student, parent or teacher, your course and your exam year;
- your revision progress: which notes you have read, how you marked your flashcards, the boxes you ticked on checklists and the last page you visited.
We use this to:
- save your progress so it follows you to any device;
- let you download the PDFs;
- count how many people use the site;
- contact you about the site or about tutoring, but only if you ask us to.
When you create an account we also save how you first found us (for example a Google search or a link) and which page you signed up on, so we can see which pages help students most.
If you send a tutoring enquiry
The enquiry form asks for your name, email, phone number (optional), whether you are a student or parent, your course and your message. It is sent to us by email using a service called Resend. We use it only to reply to you, and we keep it only as long as we need to deal with your enquiry.
Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics to see which pages are useful, so we know what to improve. It only loads after you click Accept on the cookie banner. If you don’t accept, no analytics run and Google Analytics sets no cookies.
Some things are saved in your own browser (in “local storage”) to make the site work: your flashcard progress, whether the menu is open or closed and similar settings. If you are signed in, your login session is kept there too. This stays on your device and is not sent to us. You can clear it at any time in your browser settings.
Who else handles your data
We use a small number of services to run the site. They only process your data to do their job for us:
- Cloudflare hosts the website and the downloadable files.
- Supabase runs accounts and stores saved progress (in the EU).
- Google handles “Sign in with Google” and, only if you accept, Google Analytics.
- Resend delivers tutoring enquiries to us by email.
We do not sell, rent or share your data with anyone for advertising.
How long we keep it
Your account data and progress are kept until you delete your account. When the account is deleted, the data goes with it. Tutoring enquiries are kept only as long as we need them to reply and arrange lessons.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- show you the data we hold about you;
- correct anything that is wrong;
- delete your data and your account.
Just send us a message through the contact page and we will sort it out. You can also say no to analytics at any time by not accepting, or by clearing your cookies.
Children and young people
The site is made for people aged 13 and over. If you are under 13, please only use it with a parent’s or guardian’s permission. Google accounts also need you to be at least 13 in most countries.
Many of our users are teenagers, so we try to follow the spirit of the UK GDPR and the UK’s Children’s Code, and of the UAE’s data protection law (the PDPL). In practice that means: we collect as little as we can, analytics are off unless you say yes, nothing is used for adverts, and you can delete your data whenever you like.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we use data, we will update this page and the date at the top. This version was last updated in October 2026.
